In this video Fifi breaks down the framework that will help you create well-rounded trainings.

Choosing Your Topic & Making Your Trainings Micro

At IntrovertU we create micro-trainings. This is because bite-sized learning with a specific focus are more engaging and digestible.

So rather than a bigger topic like Sales 101, Business Productivity or Public Speaking, you focus on one smaller element of those bigger ideas.

Here are a few examples:

  1. No Small Talk Sales Meeting, which shows you how to build rapport in your sales meetings without out having to make small talk, it’s very micro, specific for an audience and easy to see how it would be part of a bigger learning path.
  2. Create a Pre-Work Ritual to Increase Productivity, which helps you create a ritual to get you in the mindset for working productively
  3. The Introvert’s Pre-Meeting Habit, which shows you how to develop a habit to prepare for meetings. All of these are very micro/ small ideas.

So before you start to plan your trainings, consider how you might break up a large topic or subject and make it micro.

4MAT

4MAT is a learning model, originally developed by Bernice McCarthy in 1970s-1980s.

Helps educators deliver information in more dynamic and engaging way.

It has 4 elements:

  • What
  • Why
  • How
  • What if

While not intended for use in online trainings, it is a good way to ensure you cover all the learning styles and create a course or training that is well-rounded and cohesive.

The structure that works best for an online training is to start with What rather than Why – which is the original concept.

You can use these 4 elements to break your training into sections, it great to help you get clear on what you plan to to teach and how you to deliver it.
